"The kitchen should be a space with
an aura, full of personality and warmth," says principal
designer Rochelle Kalisch, who runs Regency Designs and
Interiors, Inc. Rochelle’s primary challenge as principal
designer is to figure out what inspires each and every
client.
Rochelle says that when interviewing clients, she encourages
them to express their wishes. She continues, "Often they
feel that their wish list is too extensive for the limited
space they have. My greatest reward is to see the joy on
their face when they receive more than they expected!"

Though kitchens are the focus of
Rochelle’s profession, she has continued to round out her skills and
education. A graduate of Parson’s School of Interior Design,
Rochelle is a multifaceted designer whose background includes
calligraphy, illustration, oil painting, graphic design and art
instruction.
Regarding design in general, Rochelle allows that the process can be
extremely detailed and complex. "Nevertheless," she says, "it should
be an exciting journey filled with much learning, anticipation and
enjoyment that will last long after the project
has been completed."
